Jammu and Kashmir’s First Daughter from Gujjar Community Became a Flying Officer
Rajouri September 23, 2021:There is an atmosphere of celebration in the area after another daughter from the Rajouri district, adjacent to the India-Pakistan Line of Control, became a flying officer in the Air Force.
Tahira is the second daughter from Altaf Rajouri and the first daughter of the Gujjar community from Jammu and Kashmir, who has become a flying officer in the Air Force. Tahira has passed the Air Force’s Short Service Commission examination.
People of every section celebrate Tahira’s success in Khod Bani village of Khawas tehsil, 145 km from Rajouri headquarters. There is no road to Tahira Rehman’s village and house, but people walk four kilometres to reach her home to congratulate her. Due to this, all the members of the house were not happy. Before Tahira, Maya Sudan of Lambadi area in Rajouri district also became a flying officer.(The Awam News)
