Jammu, September 11: 918 female ‘Helpers to Supervisors’ in ICDS of Social Welfare Department to be disengaged by J&K Govt.

Government said they had been engaged ‘unauthorisedly’ but helpers claim most of them had been appointed by HODs with approval of Minister incharge Social Welfare of the time.

They said if we were unauthorised, how did the Government of Jammu and Kashmir put us on job for 20 years and paid our wages regularly and whta will happen to our families?

Why no action against the officers who engaged us are now holding more senior positions in the same government, they questioned?

They said that shall this procedure be adopted in all other departments but what actions shall be taken on the authorities, who at the time appointed them, if is in violation of rules?
