Kupwara:02 Oct:(TAN) Hajipir Army Good Will School Trehgam on saturday celebrated 152nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

As per the data recieved by inside Kashmir states that,152nd birth anniversary was celebrated in Hajipir Army Good Will School Trehgam.During the celebration,various events were organised and students too became the part of this Gandhi Jayanti.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi,who shares his birthday with another legendary personality,former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri (born 1904),was born on October 2,1869,in Porabandar,in present-day Gujarat.A lawyer whose life changed through his experiences in South Africa.

Gandhi played the most significant role in India’s independence movement,holding demonstrations through non-violent means.

Various events were organised at Hajipir Army GoodWill School,Trehgam to celebrate the Gandhi Jayanti on the 2nd of October.Students of the school enthusiastically took part in the Gandhi Jayanti event celebration by delivering speech on truth and Non violence message of “Father Of The Nation” as well as performing dance on nationalistic songs.

Beside celebration of Gandhi Jayanti,the students and teachers of the Hajipir Army GoodWill School also carried out “Swach Bharat Abhiyan”.

While narrating his contribution,Maryem Tahir,a 8th class student said on the occasion,”Every year we celebrate Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd of October.Gandhi Ji is also called Mahatma Gandhi and “Father of Nation”.Mahatma Gandhi was one of the greatest leader of India.Independence movement was popular for his non violence means.He became an active in early twenty century and many important movements against British,colonial rule like Non-cooperation,3rd March Quit India Movement etc”,

“As we all know we are gathered here to celebrate a nice occasion called “Gandhi Jayanti”.Today is 2nd October,birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.We celebrate this day with great enthusiasm every year to paid tribute to the “Father of Nation”of our country.He led our nation in our fight for the freedom of truth and non-voilence.We are his only tools in this fight against the British”, Saimah Manzoor,a 10th class student said on the occasion,

It’s pertinent to mention here that,2nd of October marks “Gandhi Jayanti” and on this day in every year,this day is being celebrated with great enthusiasm.(TAN)
